Cops Called to Lakeside After Man Spotted Acting Erractically

A man was spotted acting erratically outside of Levy-Lakeside School Friday, according to Merrick School District officials.

Superintendent Dr. Dominick Palma told Patch that late Friday afternoon, school custodians spotted the man acting oddly while watching kids playing.

The police were called to the school, but the man left the premises before they arrived, Palma added.

Parents were alerted with a phone call from the district. One parent told Patch that the man was described to be in his mid 50s or 60s with gray hair, and he was wearing light-colored clothing.

David Feller, the Superintendent of the North Merrick School District, was alerted about the incident on Friday, and he sent an alert to parents as well.
