A new expanded CVS to open across the street from the current CVS on Hempstead Tpke. in Levittown is scheduled for an early March opening, CVS Caremark Director of Public Relations Mike DeAngelis said.

The new CVS is located at the site of the former HSBC bank at 2970 Hempstead Tpke. in Levittown. The tenants from current CVS across the street will move out of that building and into the newly-constructed one, DeAngelis said.

The store was originally scheduled for a Jan. 27 opening, but no reason was given for the later opening date.

"It will be in the first half of the month so within our overall timetable," DeAngelis said.

The new CVS is 12,900 square feet and will feature a drive-through pharmacy, which the current location does not offer.
