Summer is here and there is no better way to beat the heat than with some frozen yogurt. Here are five things you should know about Swirlz World:
1. It serves more than frozen yogurt: Even though it is known for its array of frozen yogurt, Swirlz World also sells ice cream cakes, pastries, candies, smoothies, frappuccinos and flying saucers.
2. It offers 14 flavors of frozen yogurt: The fro-yo hotspot serves a total of 14 flavors, but serves different flavors each week. Its most popular flavors are cake batter and cotton candy.
3. Everything is self serve: Patrons can help themselves to frozen yogurt and candy, which is then weighed.
4. The business will soon celebrate its one year anniversary: Swirlz World celebrated its grand opening in July 2012.
5. Swirlz World gives back to the community: Last year, the business donated a portion of its sales to the North Merrick School District to go towards the purchase of a new sign for Camp Avenue School.
