With money being tight, the residents of Merrick are looking to save money wherever they can, and the gas pump is no exception.
Here's a look at the cheapest and most expensive gas prices around the Merrick area, according to MotorTrend.com.
If you're looking for regular gasoline, Mobil, located at 329 Merrick Ave., has the best buy at $3.69 per gallon. Two other Mobils, located at 158 Merrick Rd. and 1585 Merrick Rd., respectively, carry the most expensive fuel at $3.89 per gallon.

In terms of plus gasoline, Gulf, located at 2030 Sunrise Highway, has the cheapest fuel in Merrick at $3.83 per gallon. Hess, located at 46 Sunrise Highway, has the most expensive plus fuel in the area at $3.99 per gallon.
Those on the hunt for premium fuel should head down to Valero, located at 1470 Jerusalem Ave., where gas is $3.99 per gallon. The most stark difference in price would be at BP, located at 1577 Merrick Rd., where fuel is $4.45 per gallon.
Lastly, those seeking diesel fuel should head down to Valero, located at 1470 Jerusalem Ave., where the price is $4.49 per gallon. According to MotorTrend.com, this is the only gas station in Merrick offering diesel.

As Sacristan at Cure of Ars, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rich (as I called him) for some time. He was a man of faith and a pleasure to see. Always with a smile and kind word, you would never know what was going on the way he acted. This was a wonderful and insightful article. It is heartbreaking to think that where there was once love between 2 people, things got to the point where one persons life was destroyed by those who could and did for no apparent reason other than having the ability to do so. God will have mercy on Dr. Rich and the ex-wife and "Judge" should pray for the same given their actions.
