On Wednesday the Nassau County Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building will be aglow in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“It is important that we as citizens pause to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer,” said County Executive Ed Mangano.

“I have declared October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month to honor survivors, remember loved ones, thank caregivers and most importantly shine the light on hope for a cure.”

South Nassau Communities Hospital and Hewlett House, together with the county, invite residents to arrive at 6 p.m. for light refreshments, followed by a brief program in the Ceremonial Chambers. The illumination will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m.
