The Bellmore man who was arrested Friday for allegedly threatening to "shoot everyone at Mepham High School" graduated from there in 2002 and has changed his name since then.

According to a photo from the 2002 yearbook, Peter J. Anderson, 28, was known as Piotr Abdel-Fatah. Under the photo, his senior quote says "Have a nice life."

According to detectives, on Dec. 22, Anderson allegedly made statements indicating that he wanted to shoot everyone at Mepham High School.

On Jan. 3, Mepham Principal Michael Harrington became aware of these comments, and he notified police. After an investigation, First Precinct officers were led to Anderson's home on Dewey Avenue in Bellmore where he was arrested without incident.

Anderson is charged with making a terroristic threat and he will be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.

This is a developing news story. Patch will provide more information as it's made available.

Did this genius convert to Islam now and hence the change of name, or did he give up on his Muslim following and change his name in the recent times? The articles are not clear on the several names factor. What are his classmates saying about his personality back then when he went to school. Was he as much as an idiot then as he appears now?
