Prostitution Bust Made in Merrick

An East Hartford, CT woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly offered to perform a sexual act for money to a undercover detective at the Gateway Inn in Merrick, police said.

According to detectives, on Thursday at 7:45 p.m., Clarissa Mitchell, 29,   allegedly offered to perform the sexual act for money, and she was arrested at the scene without incident.

Mitchell has been charged with prostitution and she will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
