Police Searching for North Merrick Robber

Nassau County Police are asking the community to help identify a man who robbed Fast Break at gunpoint Saturday night. 

According to detectives, at approximately 10:55 p.m., the suspect entered Fast Break at 1066 Merrick Ave. armed with a black handgun. He robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money and Newport cigarettes.

He is described by police as a black male, approximately six-foot-two. He was wearing a black wool hat, a grey hooded sweatshirt and tan pants, according to cops. 

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify this suspect or with any information about this crime to call the toll free hotline at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
