Photos leave memories in your mind that can last a lifetime. There were many significant events that occurred in 2013 and we've selected some of the best photos from what we saw.
Here are the best photos of 2013:
- A tanker fire broke out on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore in December. Though no one was seriously injured, families were displaced due to the blaze.
- All candy lovers were in heaven when Chocolate Works of Bellmore-Merrick opened on Merrick Road in November. Customers can enjoy an an array of truffles, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate lollipops, hard candy and peanut butter cups.
- The Merrick community came together and enjoyed three days of food, rides and an array of vendors at the Merrick Chamber of Commerce's 28th Annual Fall Festival.
- A fire ripped through the inside of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthrodox Church on Hewlett Avenue in August.
