Not Just Books: This Week's Library Events

There are a variety of things going on at the Merrick and North Merrick libraries this week.

Many people would be surprised to find out how many things actually go on at the library. Most things at the Merrick and North Merrick libraries are even free to residents.

Monday at the Merrick Library begins with playtime – Mommy and Me for caregivers and children 18 to 36 months at 10:30 a.m. Girl Scout Troop 2467 is working on a badge at the North Merrick Library at 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and other county representatives will be at the Merrick Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer questions during Mobile Office Hours. The North Merrick Library will have the North Merrick Board Meeting at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, the Merrick Library has All Levels Yoga with Jeanne McElwain at 9:15 a.m., then Tai Chi Advanced with Helene Just at 11 a.m. and the Mystery Lovers Book Club meets at 7:30 p.m. to discuss Case Histories by Kate Atkinson.

Thursday at the Merrick Library is Beginner's Yoga with Jeanne McElwain at 5:30 p.m.
