Not Just Books: This Week's Library Events

There are a variety of things going on at the Merrick and North Merrick libraries this week.

Many people would be surprised to find out how many things actually go on at the library. Most things at the Merrick and North Merrick libraries are even free to residents.

Monday at the Merrick Library there will be No Impact Exercise class at 12 p.m.

Tuesday at the Merrick Library, Kindergarten Storytime will take place at 4 p.m. and Beginner Mah Jongg is at 6:45 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Merrick Library hosts Tai Chi Advanced at 11 a.m., the monthly book discussion returns to talk about "Someone Knows My Name" by Lawrence Hill at 2:30 p.m. and a Cooking Class for Young Adults at 6:30 p.m.

Just We Two at the North Merrick Library takes place at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Then on Thursday, the Merrick Library hosts Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Second Bill of Rights, sponsored by the The New York Council for the Humanities Conversation Bureau at 2 p.m. and TAG (Teen Advisory Group) meets at 4:15 p.m.

The North Merrick Library hosts LEGO Club for Tweens at 4 p.m. and Art of Pie for Teens at p.m.

Friday, both the Merrick and North Merrick Libraries will be closed in observance of Veteran's Day.
