North Merrick Public Library to Host "Tea and Tunes"

The Friends of the North Merrick Public Library will be hosting their second annual “Tea and Tunes” social on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the library. The event, which is open to the public, will offer tea, sandwiches, desserts and music. Attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite teacup and wear a hat and gloves.

The event is also an opportunity to learn more about the Friends of the Library whose “volunteerism leads to positive civic engagement and the betterment of the community.” Funds raised by the Friends are used to purchase items for the library that are not part of the library’s budget. Further information about the Friends and how to become a member will be distributed at the event.
