The entire peninsula on Hewlett Ave south of Merrick Rd is with out power. The map above shows hard hats which I take to mean crews are working. That is not true. There has not been any line crew working on the peninsula since the storm. We are also one of the areas that are supposed to be getting inspected. There is no evidence of inspectors on the peninsula. One of the trees that was in the lines was finally cleared today. I know of at least 20 poles that need to be replaced and nothing has been done about those yet.

I have friends who have been staying with me since Friday. They have been without power for 10 days. They live on Central Blvd. between Sunrise Hwy and Merrick Road. This block did not receive any water, trees have been cleaned up and there are no power lines down. Why isn't this area being serviced? When you call LIPA you don't get an answer. My friend is battling cancer and just wants to be back in her own home! Frustrating for them.
