Merrick Library Celebrates National Library Card Month

National Library Card Month is the time when the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country remind parents and caregivers that a library card is the best card a person can have.

Merrick Public Library will be celebrating National Library Card Month.

All children who receive their first library card will be given a book bag, card holder, coloring sheet and other items.

In order to apply for a card, children must be at least 3-years-old and live in the Merrick School District. A parent must be present to sign the application.

National Library Card Month is the time when the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country remind parents and caregivers that a library card is the best card a person can have.
