The Merrick
Jewish Centre has issued a casting call for its upcoming reality-tv-show-themed
event, The Amazing Passover Challenge, modeled on TV’s The Amazing Race.

Families are invited to participate in the
Amazing Passover Challenge, which is scheduled for Sunday, 3/10/13 from 10am-1pm (registration starts at 9:30am), beginning and ending at the
Merrick Jewish Centre.
Similar to the TV reality show, in which multiple teams race around the globe
to 'amazing' locations for the chance to win $1 million, in the Amazing
Passover Challenge, multiple teams of families will travel around the local
area to ‘amazing’ locations for a chance to win great raffle prizes including
tickets to an upcoming NY Yankees game.

The Amazing Passover Challenge will comprise a
series of Passover-themed events in which participants must not only complete a
challenge at each location but also will answer Passover trivia questions in
order to receive their clue to the next destination. As in the TV show, activities
will include feats of athleticism, food challenges and more. All activities
will relate to the Passover theme, and all proceeds from the event will benefit
the Kosher Food Pantry in Massapequa.

Each team must include at least one adult who
drives. Families must pre-register in order to participate. The cost is $18 per
team for those who register on or before February 24th and $25 per
team after that date. The entry fee includes a t-shirt for each family member,
kosher lunch and raffle prizes.

For more information, please visit
www.merrickjc.org, email admindirector@merrickjc.org or call 516-379-8650.

To
register as a team, please send checks for $18, payable to Merrick Jewish
Centre, to AMAZING PASSOVER CHALLENGE COMMITTEE, MERRICK JEWISH CENTRE, 225 FOX

The School board is a bunch of morons if they want to remove this designation! There were 0 problemsRead More like this when Malucci was in office, this new superintendent is a waste of space, money, and cares more about his own paycheck then our kids! Between school security, and now this, I motion that we get rid of that skell!

Bless you, Anthony. And though I know ultimately the "Judge" will have to be heldRead More accountable by a higher authority...those of us who do this work, have not forgotten nor will we allow the system to forget what her role in this travesity was.

Thank you for this wonderful article on a good man pushed to the brink. I appriciate the fact thisRead More came form the heart and did not hold back. As Sacristan at Cure of Ars, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rich (as I called him) for some time. He was a man of faith and a pleasure to see. Always with a smile and kind word, you would never know what was going on the way he acted. This was a wonderful and insightful article. It is heartbreaking to think that where there was once love between 2 people, things got to the point where one persons life was destroyed by those who could and did for no apparent reason other than having the ability to do so. God will have mercy on Dr. Rich and the ex-wife and "Judge" should pray for the same given their actions.
