Kareoke with D.J. Joe

Where/When: Menna’s Main Event, Friday, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Why go: Celebrate the snow melting by pretending that you have a decent, in-tune singing voice.

Price: Free

 

Defensive driving

Where/When: Merrick Library, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Why go: Learn how to deal with the people on the road that aren’t taking the rising gas prices so well.

Price: $38, checks only

 

Family Bingo

Where/When: Sacred Heart School gym, Friday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Why go: There isn’t a better way to spend an evening with your family then with hot dogs, candy, bottled water, snacks and bingo.

Pricing: Admission with reservation is $5; without a reservation is $6. The price includes one bingo card. Additional cards are $1 each.

 

Buckets for Breast Cancer
 

Where/When:  Kennedy, Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Why Go:  Whether going to fundraisers are personal for you or just for fun, join the Bellmore-Merrick basketball league to "Help The Quest For Finding A Cure." Teams are formed for grades five through 12 along with adult groups.

Pricing:  $10 per person with a total of four on a team (cash or check for team is payable to "1 in 9 Breast Cancer Coalition").
