Things to do in Merrick this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you have no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

2. President's Week Crafting for Kids
Where/When:  Crafternoons, Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Why Go:  Sick of the kids saying how bored they are during their week off from school? If you are, have them spend the afternoon making some sushi and Jones Beach candles.

3. Blue’s Clues Live!
Where/When:  Bellmore Theatre, Bellmore, Saturday, 11:00 a.m.
Why Go:  Don’t want the kids watching television this Saturday? Problem solved: Take the kiddies to see Steve and Blue for an interactive performance by Plaza Theatre Productions.

4. Dial M for Murder
Where/When:  Merrick Theatre and Center for the Arts, Sunday, 3:00 p.m.
Why Go:  See this classic Alfred Hitchcock mystery-thriller tale recreated for the stage.

5. Oscar Viewing Party
Where/When:  The Vine-Wine Bar, Sunday, 8:00 p.m.
Why Go:  What’s better than relaxing with a few friends, playing fashion police and expressing praise and disgust to Academy Award nominations? A free glass of champagne, of course.
