Community Discusses Safety of School Crossings

Community Leaders are hosting a panel discussion of the dangerous school crossings along Merrick Avenue in Merrick on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at the North Merrick Library, 1691 Meadowbrook Road, North Merrick.

North Merrick Library President Bill Pezzullo and North and Central Merrick Civic President Claudia Borecky will lead a panel discussion with Nassau County Legislators Denenberg and Gonsalves, Merrick and North Merrick School Superintendents Palma and Feller, and 1st Precinct Police Inspector Studdert to safeguard our children and crossing guards and help the flow of traffic at school crossings along Merrick Avenue.  We invite the community to join us in this conversation and welcome your suggestions and ideas.
