Editor's Note: The following email was sent from Camp Avenue School to parents on Feb. 19.

Good afternoon,

This is Camp Avenue Principal Ron Reinken with an update on arrival and dismissal procedures.

Starting Wednesday, Feb. 20 cones will be located curbside at the north side of Camp Avenue. The aim is to prevent parking along this stretch of roadway.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The District's efforts in this regard are intended to minimize traffic congestion and improve safety.

Herein, buses, oversized trucks and emergency vehicles often can not travel the noted distance without crossing into opposing traffic - causing a dangerous condition for all.

Please note local traffic ordinances prohibit parking as well. Many thanks for your support on this policy.

What do you think of these changes? Tell us in the comments section below.

I am very upset about the parking situation at Camp Ave. As a disabled Mom, the parking has pick up a nightmare for me. We need the school and neighboring community to come up with a plan that all are agreeable to. I am expected to park somewhere on the neighboring streets and then walk to the school. Given my health condition, this is extremely difficult. I pay a tremendous amount in taxes for my kids to go to Camp Ave. and now I can't get near the school to pick up my child unless I go there at least 30 minutes early. This is not acceptable.
