Dedication to Philip L. Williams

The attached photo is from Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Merrick Veteran's Memorial Park where the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1282 adopted a tree with the North and Central Merrick Civic's Adopt-A-Tree program, who installed a plaque in memory of Past American Legion Commander Philip L. Williams. NCMCA President Claudia Borecky led the dedication. Legislator Dave Denenberg, ALA Pres. Lucy Murphy and Sharon Williams spoke in honor of the memory of Philip Williams. Their grandchildren Madison read a poem and Jacqueline presented their grandmother, Sharon, with a painting/collage of a tree with the poem and a photo of their grandfather embossed on the painting. (Pictured are the American Legion Auxiliary, Legislator Denenberg and the Williams Family.)
