Merokean Patrick Yngstrom Spearheads Launch of New, Free “Vets Chat” Series Presented By The Arbors Assisted Living Communities for LI Veteran Community

Patrick Yngstrom of North Merrick, a former Nassau County Director of Veterans Affairs and long-time Deputy Director, has spearheaded the launch of a new, signature “Vets Chat” club series that is now available at The Arbors Assisted Living Communities free ofcharge for both Arbors veteran residents and non-residents.  Designed to unite Long Island’s large veteran population within an intimate, face-to-face social networking forum that celebrates their special bond and camaraderie, Yngstrom, who is The Arbors' Veterans Liaison, worked with The Arbors to bring “Vets Chat” to fruition, which is now offered once a month at each one of its individual communities, located in Bohemia, Hauppauge, Islandia, and Westbury.

“The Arbors Assisted Living Community is proud of our veterans and the tremendous sacrifices we’ve made while fighting for our country,” says Yngstrom, who is veteran himself. “We wanted to give our veterans a comfortable, casual setting where they can feel free to share theirown stories and experiences with one another and essentially spark new, meaningful friendships through their unique and special connection. ‘Vets Chat’ is our way of giving something back to the many men and women who have selflessly given of themselves and I encourage all veterans to participate.”

The Arbors will devote the second week of each month to offer its “Vets Chat” series at each of its communities, making it convenient and accessible for participation among all Long Island veterans.  Each “Vets Chat” will take place at 3:00 p.m. and feature refreshments.
