Funeral arrangements have been made for Officer Michael J. Califano, 44, who was in the line of duty on the Long Island Expressway on Friday.
Wake services will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Massapequa Funeral Home located at 4980 Merrick Road in Massapequa Park.
A funeral mass is set for 12 p.m. on Thursday at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church in Seaford.
He will be buried at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury.
Califano is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, and sons Michael, Christopher and Andrew. He was predeceased in death by daughter Michaela.
