North Merrick SEPTA is proud to invite you to a free screening of Rick Lavoie’s award winning learning disabilities workshop – How Difficult Can This Be? The F.A.T. City Workshop.

This renowned and unique program lets viewers experience the frustration, anxiety, and tension faced by children with learning disabilities. In the film, workshop facilitator Rick Lavoie presents a series of striking simulations emulating daily experience of Learning Disabled children. By dramatizing the classroom experience so vividly, Rick Lavoie lets us see what children with learning disabilities experience every day. At the end of the film, he discusses strategies for working more effectively with children who struggle.

The screening will be held at HD Fayette School in the GP Room. Front doors will open at 7 pm; the program will run from 7:30 until approximately 9pm.

Prior to the screening, a sixth grader from Old Mill Road School who recently ran for Class Treasurer will speak. We are sure you will all enjoy this vivacious, engaging speaker and his very timely message to everyone.

Refreshments will be available.
