 bsp\;\nThe North Merrick Library is collecting NEW Teddy Bears (10 &ndas
 h\; 14 inches) in lieu of fines for the non-profit organization\, Hugs A
 cross America\, who will then distribute them to children who have exper
 ienced an illness or other tragedy. &nbsp\;There are no limits on the&nb
 sp\;number\, or amount of&nbsp\;fines "paid". Library fees for lost\, mi
 ssing\, or damaged items are not eligible. For North Merrick Patrons Onl
 y.&nbsp\;This event is organized by the Teen Advisory Board. Interested 
 in volunteering? Sorry\, used bears\, bears that are under 10 inches or
