This week, Merrick Patch has named Natalia Wilkins as the Whiz Kid!
- Name: Natalia Wilkins
- School: Calhoun High School
- Grade: Senior
- Key Accomplishment: Wilkins is a member of the of the 400 yard freestyle relay team that captured first place in the Nassau County Aquatic Championships, setting a new school record of 3:39:04.
- Keys to Awesomeness: Besides setting a new swimming record, Wilkins is an outstanding young woman who spends many hours in the pool working to improve her times and strokes as a member of the Long Island Express Swim Club. She is a native of Finland and last year she had a unique opportunity to return to Finland where she attended a “sports academy” high school. Wilkins plans to continue swimming in college.
