Police: Merrick Man Exposes Himself to Woman and Her Children

Police arrest James Calisto in Massapequa Park Friday evening.

A Merrick man was arrested Friday evening after exposing himself in front of a woman and her children, police said.

James Calisto, 52, was sitting in his car in Massapequa Park with his pants down, "fully exposed" to a woman who was walking with her children, ages 6 and 4, in a parking lot in front of 5125 Merrick Road, police said.

The incident took place at 5:27 p.m. across the street from John J. Burns Park. A police spokeswoman said the victims may have been leaving the Rite Aid in the shopping center when the mother spotted Calisto.
