New Pet Sitting Company Opens in Merrick

In Home Pet Services, Inc., (IHPS), which is a pet sitting and dog walking company based in Queens, has just announced another new Long Island franchisee location - In Home Pet Services of Merrick.  

IHPS of Merrick opened on Sept. 3 and is already taking calls for new clients. This new IHPS's is the seventh franchise location and fifth franchise to open within the last year and fourth franchise located on Long Island.  

The new IHPS of Merrick is owned and operated by Ruth Eisner who has been in the pet sitting industry for a few years and decided to become part of the IHPS franchise family because of their wonderful reputation, customer service and loyalty.

Pet sitting and dog walking is done at the client's home and will cover areas of Baldwin, Wantagh, Seaford, Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport and East Meadow. Eisner also will offer in-home pet boarding in her own home at the clients’ request.

In Home Pet Services, Inc. was started in 2003 by President and Founder Robyn Elman, and Long Island native who relocated to Queens, with her IHPS location in Northeast Queens. Elman started IHPS with no idea how quickly it would grow, and franchised out her first location at Clinton Hill in Brooklyn in 2006. Elman's growth during the recession has been tremendous franchising out another location in 2008, Marine Park in Brooklyn, and growing her own clientele to over 1,000 clients and 15 employees at her Northeast Queens location. The sixth franchise opened in March of this year in South Nassau.
