Merrick Man Arrested for DWI in Valley Stream
Man previously had his license revoked for DWI.
Christopher Wolf, 53, of Merrick, was arrested by New York State Police for a felony driving while intoxicated (DWI).
According to State Police, Trooper Augeri stopped Wolf, who was driving a tan Nissan Frontier, for cell phone use on the eastbound Southern State Parkway near Hempstead Avenue.
The Wolf was slow to pull over before driving onto the shoulder while still on his cell phone. Augeri had to knock on the window and instruct him to roll down the window.
While interviewing the driver, Wolf said that he did not have a license. Augeri detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle and noticed Wolf had watery eyes.
Wolf failed sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DWI.
State Police also noted that a license check revealed that Wolf's license was revoked several times for DWI and for failure to pay child support. The vehicle registration was also suspended for an insurance lapse.
The defendant was charged with felony DWI, felony unlicensed operation, suspended registration, open container in motor vehicle and traffic violations.
Wolf was held for arraignment in Nassau County First District Court.

He will be out of jail in 3 hours and on the roads the next day. But hey, nothing's wrong with our judicial system. Let's wait til he kills a family, then everyone shall go nuts.
