Merrick Crime Report
A rundown of recent crime reports and arrests compiled by the Nassau County Police's First and Seventh Precincts.
- Sometime between 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on March 1, a home on Stuyvesant Avenue was burglarized. The thief gained access through an unlocked front door; jewelry and a camcorder were reported stolen.
- On March 6, Kelly Booth, 29, of Rockville Centre, was arrested on Sunrise Highway and Lansdowne Avenue in Merrick and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. Booth drove her vehicle into two parked cars on Saturday night.
- On March 6, Sasha Popov, 42, of Bethpage, was arrested at Citibank, 2085 Merrick Rd. in Merrick and charged with possession of a forged instrument and scheme to defraud.
- On March 6, Thomas Smith, 26, of Toms River, New Jersey, was arrested on Merrick Road and Lincoln Avenue in Merrick and charged with four counts of possession of a forged Instrument and scheme to defraud.
- On March 7, Sheila Brennan, 43, of Baldwin, was arrested on Babylon Turnpike and Merrick Road in Merrick and charged with driving while intoxicated.
