Feb. 10: Nassau County Says Goodbye to a Hero

1. Officer Michael J. Califano, 44, who was struck and killed in the line of duty, will be laid to rest on Thursday. The funeral mass will take place at 12 p.m. at Maria Regina in Seaford. Burial will follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury.

2. North Merrick Public Library has some activities for children today. Check out Just We Two at 10:30 a.m. and Picture Book Storytime from 1:30 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. in the seperation room.
