Crime Report: Two Arrested For DWI in Merrick
A look at recent crime and arrests as reported by the First and Seventh precincts.
The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's First and Seventh Precinct incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.
- On Aug. 25, John George Nictas, 18, of Merrick, was arrested on Merrick Road and charged with driving while intoxicated and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
- On Aug. 29, Arthur Myers, 67, of Staten Island, was pulled over on the Southern State Parkway for having no break lights and using his cell phone. Myers was charged with DWI and resisting arrest after becoming combative towards the officer. Police said Myers had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .13 percent.
- On Aug. 24, Min Jung Kwon, 51, of Flushing, was arrested for allegedly offering to perform sexual acts on undercover detectives inside the Merrick massage parlor where she worked. Kwon was charged with two counts each of Unauthorized Practice a Crime and Prostitution.
