Crime Nearby: Man Assaulted in Seaford, Cooking Oil Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Bellmore

  • Sometime between Oct. 2 and Oct. 4,  a rear, passenger-side window of a 2077 gray Saturn was broken.
  • On Oct. 5, Gabriel Scrivano, age 19, of Bellmore, was arrested in Wantagh Park, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and five violations of the vehicle and traffic Law.
  • Graffiti was found at the Martin Avenue School on Martin Avenue on Oct. 6.
  • On Oct. 7, Lisa Chosed, age 45, of Bellmore, was arrested at said location and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and one violation of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • On Oct. 7, a complainant heard a loud bang and discovered the glass storm door broken. This happened on Wynne Lane.

  • Sometime on Oct. 2, a vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the Home Depot parking lot.
  • On Oct. 6, a GPS was removed from a vehicle that was parked on Taylor Avenue.

 

Merrick

  • Sometime between Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, a vehicle window was damaged. The vehicle was parked on Laura Court.
  • A complainant reported a trailer containing miscellaneous restaurant equipment was stolen from outside the restaurant supply business located on Lincoln Boulevard. This happened sometime between Oct. 5 and Oct. 6.
  • Sometime on Oct. 3, a vehicle window was broken and items were removed from it while it was parked at the Merrick train station.
  • On Oct. 6, Gary Levine, age 49, of Merrick, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and two violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

 

Seaford

  • On Aug. 25, a complainant observed occupants of a 2001 blue Ford van exit the vehicle and approached the used cooking oil container at East Bay Diner.  Unknown suspects pried the lid open, inserted a hose and began pumping the oil. Complainant didn’t recognize the suspects so he asked them what they were doing and they stated they were there to pick up the oil.
  • Sometime between Sept. 17 and Oct. 8, a front window was broken on a home on Jerusalem Avenue in Seaford.
  • A stolen pocketbook was reported at Pathmark on Merrick Road on Oct. 4. A complainant placed her pocketbook on the passenger side floor of her vehicle while she loaded groceries into her trunk and it was removed from the vehicle.  
  • On Oct. 6, a 71-year-old male was parking his car at the Seaford Post Office when a male, seemingly in his 40s, pulled into the lot beeping his horn. The unknown suspect exited his vehicle and approached the complainant with his fists up in his face, stated threatening words to him and spit in his face. When suspect left, he hip checked the complainant into the side of his car.
  • On Oct. 10, Jaime Rosicki, age 33, of Seaford, was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Oct. 10, Russell Hooton, age 46, of Lindenhurst, was arrested on Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway, Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated.

 

Wantagh

  • Sometime on Oct. 1, a complainant reported a bow and 12 custom arrows were stolen by unknown suspect(s). The incident happened near Calley Lane.
  • Sometime between Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, a vehicle on McClean Avenue was damaged.
  • On Oct. 4, an unknown suspect poured an unknown liquid solution on the rear passenger door of the side panel of a 1999 white Chevy causing the paint to bubble.
  • Sometime on Oct. 8, an unknown suspect broke the rear passenger side window of a vehicle that was parked on Taft Street. No loss was reported.
  • On Oct. 9, Christopher Henao, age 24, of Wantagh, was arrested at said location and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
