The more choices, the better.

This week, Merokeans can find the cheapest regular gas in town at two different locations: the Holm's Citgo station located at 329 Merrick Ave. and the Hess station at 46 Sunrise Highway.

Both stations are pumping regular gas for $2.75 a gallon. That's two cents lower at Holm's and four cents lower at Hess as compared to last week. 

For mid-grade and premium fill-ups, stick with Holm's, as the station's prices of $2.93 and $3.03 a gallon for the good stuff, is the cheapest around.

The lowest reported price for diesel–at $3.25 a gallon–can be found at the Valero station at 1470 Jerusalem Ave.

On the other end, the most expensive gas–at $3.10 a gallon–is reported at the Jerusalem Avenue Shell station in North Merrick.

As always, be aware that many stations charge more per gallon if you use your credit card.  Holm's and Hess offer gas for the same price cash or credit.
