- Deceased's name: Bradley Kanter
- Age: 27
- Hometown: Merrick, N.Y.
Bradley Kanter passed away on Jan. 19, 2012. He was 27.
Originally from Merrick, Kanter was raised and grew up in East Rockaway and is survived by his mother Wendy Trigg Kanter-Epstein and her husband Artie Epstein, of East Rockaway; brother Jordan, sister-in-law Jessie, and his two nephews of Rhode Island; and longtime companion, best friend, and brother from another mother, John Morales.
Kanter touched many souls in his short time. Sometimes he made us laugh, and other times he made us laugh so hard that he made us cry. His perception of situations and his ability to relate and talk to all kinds of people young, old, black, white, brown, yellow, purple, and whatever was the secret to his success. He will be missed, but we should rejoice that we were blessed with the privilege of having had him touch our lives in a unique and special way.
Funeral Services are being held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Boulevard Riverside Hewlett Chapels, 1450 Broadway, Hewlett, N.Y.
Burial will be immediately following the funeral at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Lindenhurst, N.Y.
Editor's note: It was originally reported that Kanter was 26 when he passed away.

He was 27, not 26. He was sick with meningitis when he died. How does an obituary not say how a person met his end? He was successful and independent at a very young age. Bradley was one of the most beautiful people in the world. He waits patiently for us on the other side.

Hi Gabriel,
I am very sorry for your loss. I am also sorry that his obit did not have his cause of death but it was not provided for us. Thank you for sharing the cause as well as those words of kindness about Bradley.
